Level 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Citizens should contact employers to determine if they should report to work. For more information, visit the City of Oxford’s Winter Weather Planning web page here.

MOVE YOUR VEHICLE from designated snow routes

The City of Oxford will declare a snow emergency when snow/ice accumulation is greater than three inches. If you haven't already done so, please move your vehicle from designated snow routes. Vehicles should be moved by 10 p.m. Feb. 2. The City of Oxford suggests:

  • Park it on a side street or take it to Miami University’s West Millett parking lot. There is parking available on Walnut St., the public spaces in the uptown parking garage, or the Municipal parking lot located at Main/Church Streets. The city will not be enforcing the overnight parking restriction Wednesday night or the meters in those particular areas Thursday.

Miami students: During a snow emergency, students who live in Oxford may park in the West Millett, Ditmer, or Chestnut Fields lots without a university permit. Vehicles must be removed from the campus parking lots within 24 hours after the snow emergency has been lifted.
