We understand the vital role parents play in the college experience, and we want to partner with you to ensure your student's success at Miami. In addition to communicating your needs and concerns to University administration, we are here to educate you about student development and appropriate ways to help your college student become an independent and involved citizen. As the Assistant to the Vice President for Parent Programs, I coordinate the work of the Parents Office with the help of Betsey Dietrich, Program Associate (in the Division of Student Affairs). Betsey and I work to produce the parents newsletters, coordinate the work of the Parents Council, and administer the Parents Fund. A detour via Route 725 is available, but we suggest that you continue on I-70 to the Eaton exit (Rt. 127 South) and then take Rt. 73 West into Oxford. • Important information for parents of first-year students: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires written consent to access your student's education records. • Did you know?
