2006 Contest Rules and Information
It's time again for the Miami University Office of International Education's second annual Study Abroad Photography Contest! Miami students and faculty who have participated in summer, semester or year-long study abroad programs (excluding MUDEC students, who have their own photography contest) are welcome to submit photographs for consideration in this year's contest. The deadline for submission is October 1, 2006. The top photographs will be displayed in MacMillan Hall October 23-December 15, 2006.
This year's categories are:
- Culture, Identity & Faces of the World
- Streets, Cities & Architectural Wonders
- Landscapes from Afar
- Intersecting Lives: Diversity and Globalization
Please send no more than one photograph per category, in high-resolution electronic format (either from a digital camera or a high-res scanned version of a film picture - photographs will be enlarged to 8x10"). Include a title for the photograph, as well as the location, the category, your name and the study abroad program you were on. Photographs can be sent by email to Sarah McNitt.
There are no prizes, although the top photos in each category (as chosen by our office) will be displayed with prominence. By submitting your photos to the contest, you give the Office of International Education permission to use your submissions for publicity and promotional purposes, including brochures, websites and presentations. We reserve the right to reassign your photos to a more appropriate category as we see fit.
Thanks for participating! We look forward to another great Study Abroad Photography Contest this year.
