Miami to add Tibetan study abroad program

Miami University has signed a memorandum of understanding with The Institute of Buddhist Dialectics (IBD) and the College for Higher Tibetan Studies (CHTS) to establish a semester-long study program for Miami students in Dharamasala, India.

President Hodge invites Miami community to annual address

Miami President David Hodge invites the Miami community to his third annual address at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, in Hall Auditorium. This year he will focus his remarks on Miami's evolving approach to education and student success.

Fall surplus auction, Sept. 6

Miami University's fall auction of surplus property begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Millett Hall. Organizers report a large quantity of bicycles available. Article about challenging names causing misspellings and mispronunciations as workplaces grow more diverse says the brain often makes associations between names and certain faces and mentions that in a 2007 study at Miami University, the majority of those surveyed associated the name "Bob" with a large, round face, and "Tim" with a leaner face and smaller features.
