The School of Fine Arts strives to make the arts visible, effective, innovative, and fully integrated within the cultural life of Miami University and the surrounding community.
Miami's art museum has an energetic schedule of changing historic and contemporary exhibitions in its five triangular galleries. In addition to the exhibitions that draw from other museums throughout the world, the museum houses a growing permanent collection of approximately 16,000 artworks.
Located in Hiestand Hall, these visual laboratories serve as an extension of the classroom by providing exhibition opportunities for projects and studio work as well as professional guest artists.
The CAWC strives to enhance knowledge of non-dominant cultures through workshops, retreats, and seminars as well as sponsorship of distinguished lecturers and numerous cultural events. The Center also provides physical meeting spaces for ongoing interdisciplinary programming.
