What are the features of Miami's program?

Technical specialties: Majors choose from among the following four technical specialties: Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Paper Science and Engineering, or Systems Analysis.

Top-notch facilities: Engineering management majors use lab facilities in both manufacturing engineering and paper science and engineering. Laboratories replicate industry settings with the Computer-Integrated Manufacturing Systems lab (CIMS) used in the manufacturing engineering department and the pilot Fourdrinier paper machine used in the paper science and engineering department.

Work experience: You can gain valuable work experience and financial assistance by participating in our co-op or summer internship programs. This professional experience will make you more valuable to prospective employers.

Teamwork: Working together is emphasized as essential for the problem-solving skills that are required in engineering. Students learn to work together with fellow students and faculty and to become a contributing member of a team.

High placement rates: The placement rate for our graduates is consistently near 100 percent.
