- A project led by Miami University is one of nine collaborations awarded funding in the second round of the State of Ohio's Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program. The program is the state's premier model for recruiting and retaining Ohio residents in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and STEM education fields.

- Miami University's regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown will launch a new four-year degree program - the Bachelor of Integrative Studies (BIS) - beginning this fall. Eric Fingerhut, chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents, approved the BIS Tuesday, July 22.
